Eastside Strategy Stories

Eastside are a niche consultancy, specialising in social enterprise solutions. They recently asked us to support several of their development plans and processes, including a more collaborative approach to shaping long term strategy. We supported this using two methods:

Firstly we facilitated an analysis of Eastside’s progress using a process that helped the team explore the past, present and future by physically moving through different spaces. This helped make Eastside’s story feel more tangible, opened space for richer conversations and helped to frame better visions and ideas for success in future.

Secondly we helped Eastside explore different scenarios in the future by using story-telling as a means for sharing ideas and opening dialogue. ‘Told’ by the team themselves, each story started from common knowledge about the present and then looked at different possible states in the future, in doing so also looking at dependencies and opportunities.

The results have been very powerful. There is now a more clear direction set for the organisation and we have actions in place to develop both long and short term plans. We hope to work more closely with Eastside as they grow as an inspiring and important organisation.
